UGS has a 3-tier Indigenous Inclusion Awareness Training Program which entails:
1. An engaging 60-minute online training module for all staff, as part of required training during onboarding
2. A half-day training session, once a year, for all managers and members of the Indigenous Inclusion Committee
3. A full-day training event, once every two years, for all staff
The purpose of the development and delivery of the UGS Indigenous Inclusion Awareness Training Program (IIATP) is to build a greater understanding and acceptance of cultural differences within the staff at UGS, to respond to the Truth and Reconciliation Call to Action #92, and to support and uphold a workplace culture of respect.
